How to Create a Special Day

In this guide, we will walk through the steps to create a special day using the platform's features.

Step 1: Navigate to Special Dates

  • In the navigation bar, click on Special Dates under Dates & Spaces.

Step 2: Create a New Special Day

  • In the Special Dates section, click the Create button.

  • In the pop-up window, input the name of your special day. For example, "Easter Bank Holiday".

  • Click on Pick Emoji to select an emoji.

  • In the Date Range field, choose the specific day you want the setting to be active.

Step 3: Configure Booking Types

  • Determine which booking types are involved. If booking types are not part of your process, you can skip this section.

Step 4: Allow Same Day Bookings

  • Go to the Settings panel and select the Same Day Bookings option.

  • Enter your message in the Same Day Booking Message section to notify customers of certain details.

Step 5: Set Specific Party Sizes

  • Click on Specific Party Size Durations to expand the section.

  • Set specific timeframes for different group sizes as appropriate.

Step 6: Allocate Tables

  • If needed, click Override to select particular tables and combinations.

Step 7: Implement Cancellation and Deposit Charges

  • To implement a cancellation fee, click on Cancellation Charges to charge customers when they cancel their reservations.

  • Configure the cancellation charge settings, including charge type and limits.

  • To prevent cancellations and ensure a reservation, select Deposit Charges to charge customers a deposit.

Step 8: Include Booking Process Details

  • If you wish to include details about the booking process for the customer, insert the information text here.

Step 9: Activate and Save the Special Day

  • Toggle the day on to activate it, so the settings can be set up.

  • Set the time to align with that particular day.

  • Click the Save button to confirm the changes.

Step 10: Modify and Update Status

  • If you don't see a green dot marking the special day, it indicates it's still offline.

  • To modify it, choose Edit to re-enter the flow.

  • Toggle the switch to change the status from offline to online in the form.

  • Click Save to update the change.

By following these steps, you can successfully create and manage a special day on the platform.
